Camp Hosts at Eagle Next RV Resort

Join Our Team and host at Eagle Nest RV Resort, please contact us if you are interested.

My husband and I are the proud owners of the Park and built it from scratch over 15 years ago. Our house is located in the Park so we do take an active interest in the Park.  However, our family life is hectic and we have chosen to recruit 5 camp host couples to run our Park during the summer. Over half of our summer guests are returning folks who spend every summer with us. The atmosphere is extremely friendly and we take great pride in the fact that our guests seem to love coming to Eagle Nest.

The schedule we offer our host couples seems to work for us all.  The host couples work 3 1/2 days, followed by 11 1/2 days off.  The 3 1/2 workdays are sometimes long hard days during our busy season, but 11 1/2 days allows our hosts ample time to enjoy summering in this great area.  Our host couples are furnished with a site with full hookups, including cable TV, Wi-Fi Internet access plus free laundry.  We have a pool, hot tub, pickleball court, playground, basketball court and recreation room.

General Description of Camp Host Duties

Job requirements -- Must be in good physical condition and able to lift at least 50 pounds.  Walking, bending, kneeling, and good stamina are needed. Communication skills are a must, both with our guests and fellow host couples.  We really need good team players!

All hosts are on duty 3 1/2 days followed by 11 1/2 days off. During those 3 days the park is basically the on-duty camp hosts' responsibility.  The remaining 1/2 day is used to assist the Hosts following them.  Hosts are responsible for their own yards.

The host duties consist of running the office (women), which includes registering guests, taking reservations, maintaining the cash drawer and receipts, general office work, cleaning (sweeping, dusting and mopping) of the office and laundry room.

Our rec. room does not get a lot of use, but must be monitored for cleanliness throughout each shift.  It will have to be dusted and mopped on the third day of each shift.

Swimming pool and restroom cleaning have a step-by-step procedure that must be followed daily.  (Detail descriptions furnished upon arrival) The pool and spa cleaning can take up to 1 1/2 hours a day.  Restrooms will take 1 to 1 1/2 hours each day.

Our office hours are as follows:

May 1 - June 14 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
June 15 -  June 30 9:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
July 1 - August 13 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
August 14 - September 30 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Above are the "office" hours.  On-duty hours are longer because of various park duties including the closing of the pool and rec room at dusk.

MEN

Again, our host men must enjoy working outdoors.  Besides specific mowing and trimming assignments men could be asked to help with park maintenance, upkeep or any number of things depending on park needs, weather, etc.  Each shift will consist of mowing and trimming one full side of the RV Park.  Approximately 27 sites on each side.  Maximum mowing time is approximately 8 hours over a 3-day period.  The mowing and trimming can be broken up or done all on one day.  Hosts have a golf cart to move around in.  Men are generally busy for about 8 hours a day.  This varies with weather and duties, but there is always something needing to be done.

Men work the following hours:

May 1 - June 14 9:00 a.m. - 4:45 p.m.
June 15 -  August 13 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
August 14 - September 30 9:00 a.m. - 4:45 p.m.

Women

Since the ladies work in the office, they are the first contact our guests have with our park.  This makes them responsible for promoting the park which includes becoming familiar with our surrounding area.  The ladies must enjoy working with people, juggling several things at a time, and while sometimes going nuts still remaining friendly, polite and helpful.  Once in a while assertiveness is also necessary.

We do not have a store, but do carry just basic RV supplies, tourist gifts, ice, etc.  If supplies run low while on shift it is sometimes necessary to have the men run to Safeway or wherever needed.

The office and laundry room should receive constant attention for cleanliness.  The washers and dryers (2 each) should be cleaned as soon as a guest finishes.  Windows both inside and outside must be kept clean, the deck and tables kept clean.  Items must be dusted.

Listed above are general duties required of our hosts.  These are not meant to be all-inclusive and hosts may be asked to perform other duties in accordance with the weather and needs of the park as a whole.

The 3 1/2 work days are sometimes long hard days during our busy season, but 11 1/2 days allows our hosts ample time to enjoy summering in this great area.
